I've been playing and writing since my teens. In the 70s (yes, I'm very old) I took a tape of demoes that Bob Smart and I had written to a nice man called Tony Visconti, who was producing David Bowie at the time, and he listened carefully before inviting me to return with a band. Sadly, that day never came.
I moved to London and kept writing and doing demoes and then, after a profound life change, started getting involved with worship music. When I got to 60 I put my guitar away and it wasn't till Josh, my eldest, married Maggie Amini in Texas in December 24 that I got it out again. I wrote them a song!
Maggie's producer, Billy Smiley, was in the congregation and the following May I was invited to Nashville to record an album. Maggie contributed vocals on it (a lot) as did my three sons and Michael, Maggie's Dad (not so much).
The result is 'Your Name Is Love'! Hope you like it!
